How To Become A Member **Special Note** In the past, MHJA has required the horse to be registered in order to be eligible for points and year end awards. We no longer require horse registration. As always, in order to receive MHJA points, the rider and owner must be members at the time of competition. To be eligible for Year End Awards, the horse (Hunters & Jumpers) or the rider (Equitation) must have competed at one MHJA sponsored horse show. There are three (3) classes of membership in the Mississippi Hunter Jumper Association: Life Membership: Upon completion of application and payment of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) dues, an individual may become a lifetime member of the Association and shall be exempt from annual dues. Individual Membership: Upon completion of application and payment of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) dues, an individual may become a member of the Association for one year, renewal be as long as the dues are paid. Family Membership: Upon completion of application and payment of Thirty-Five Dollars ($35.00) annual dues, family groups may enjoy all rights and privileges of individual members. Family memberships shall cover and be confined to spouses or parents (or legal guardians) and children of a family group. A family membership is entitled to a maximum of three (3) votes at all general membership meetings. An additional family member may obtain independent status upon completion of application and payment of annual dues of one-half (1/2) the cost of the family membership.
