2004 USAE ZONE IV SPECIFICATIONS

PRE-GREEN HUNTER – Open to a horse that has not shown over 3’3”. To be judged on performance, soundness, way of going and suitability as a Hunter. Horses may be jogged for soundness at management’s discretion. Pre-Green Hunter may be offered in two height sections (3’ and 3’3”). If only one height is offered, it must be 3’. Height sections may be combined in one division with both heights offered. A horse may only exhibit in one height section at a given show. A Pre-Green Hunter is eligible for two competition years at 3’ and two competition years at 3’3”. Eligibility for Pre-Green division commences when the horse first competes at 3’ or higher at any USAE competition. Zone awards will be presented annually.

CHILDREN’S HUNTER - Open to horses ridden by a Junior Exhibitor. To be judged on performance, soundness, manners, way of going, size of rider to mount, and suitability as a Children’s Hunter. Horses may be jogged for soundness at management’s discretion. The combination horse/rider is not eligible for any other USAE rated classes at the same show. The horse or rider (separately) may compete in any other class. If showing in classes 3’6” or higher (except Equitation, Pony Jumper and Children’s Jumper), a rider may show only one horse in the Children’s Hunter division in addition to those owned or USAE leased by the rider. The Children’s Hunter division may be offered in age group sections (14 & Under and 15 - 17) and in two height sections (3’ and 3’3”). If only one height is offered, it must be 3’. Zone award will be presented annually as one section.

ADULT AMATEUR HUNTER – Open to horses and ponies ridden by Amateurs who are no longer eligible to compete as junior exhibitors. To be judged on performance, soundness, manners, way of going, size of rider to mount, and suitability as an Adult Amateur Hunter. Horses may be jogged for soundness at management’s discretion. Riders and horses may enter any equitation classes. The horse/rider combination is not eligible for any other USAE rated classes. However, the horse or the rider (separately) may compete in other USAE rated classes. A rider may show only one additional horse in addition to those horses owned or USAE leased by the rider. The Adult Amateur division may be offered in age group sections (18 – 35 and 36+, or 18 – 35, 36 – 45, 46+) and in two height sections (3’ and 3’3”). If only one height is offered, it must be 3’. Zone award will be presented annually as one section.
